Prats Inc.: Grand Fish Tacos & Ceviche.

Software used: AutoDesk AutoCAD.

This project is a 1,444 sq. ft. restaurant, tenant improvement. The restaurant consists of a commercial kitchen, (2) restrooms, a storage area and a customer / dining area.

The construction of the restaurant was in-house (Prats Inc. is a design-build office), which required my involvement in the construction phase with observation and supervisory responsibilities.

Specific Architectural Responsibilities; 

• Programming / layout studies
• Ascertaining and meeting city parking requirements
• Ascertaining and meeting occupancy load seating, plumbing and exit requirements
• Maintaining accessibility compliance
• Working with the kitchen equipment consultant
• Working with the MEP consultants
• generating the complete set of construction documents
• Submitting construction documents for health department approval
• Submitting construction documents for county public works / industrial waste approval
• Submitting construction documents for fire department approval
• Submitting construction documents for city approval
• Addressing comments from all the above agencies as required
• Maintaining an open dialog with the landlord and the client.
